When Did
A poem.

When did
thoughts of money and publication
come between
me and the written word
I loved the way
words danced on the page
loved the way
a line could evoke an emotion
But now
my thoughts stray to wonder
if my ramblings are good
enough
I have no rhythm
I have no rhyme
but what I do here
is not a waste of time
Did you see
what I did there
and now back to wondering
if anyone will ever care
